GoeGrid Computing Resources Terms of Use
By using the resources, users are expected to agree to the following Terms of Use and to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
- GoeGrid computing resources, allocated for the LHC-ATLAS Open Data Project, are made available to individuals without explicit CERN or LHC experiment affiliation.
- Users are expected to only submit jobs to the Overlay Batch System (HTCondor) enabled at the Entry Point (punchlogin.goegrid.gwdg.de).
- The Service administrators reserve the right to kill any suspicious tasks running on the Entry Point.
- Filesystems, including home folders, are not backed up and treated as temporary space for active work.
- Users should keep copies of their essential data in locations other than the Service.
- Users should restrict /home folder privileges to prevent unauthorized access.
GoeGrid Computing Resources Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the rules that govern users' access to and use of the resources and services.
By registering as a user, you declare that you have read, understood, and will abide by the following rules:
- You shall only use the services in a manner consistent with the purposes and limitations described in the Terms of Use section.
- You shall only use the Service for lawful purposes and not breach or circumvent any administrative or security controls.
- You shall respect intellectual property and confidentiality agreements.
- You shall protect your access credentials (passwords, private keys, multi-factor tokens).
- You shall keep all your registered information correct and up to date.
- You shall promptly report any known or suspected security breach, credential compromise, or misuse.
- Your use of the Service may be restricted or suspended for administrative, operational, or security reasons.
- If you violate these rules, your account may be suspended or terminated, and a report may be made to law enforcement if necessary.
